KoCarbon® is a new generation activated carbon fiber dressing clinically proven to absorb bacteria and endotoxin.
KoCarbon® Medical Bandage™ is designed for post-surgical wounds. It has a three-layer structure. The first layer is PET non-woven fabric, which is a porous layer that provides a channel for exchange of air between the wound and external environment. The second layer is activated carbon fiber fabric, which is an absorption layer that rapidly absorbs blood exudate and bacteria from the wound and reduces wound odor to provide an antimicrobial environment. The third layer is PE membrane, which is also the wound contact layer. It can prevent wound adhesion and eliminate secondary injury. The low-adhesive wound contact layer effectively reduces wound adhesion and the pain from changing medication. It is adhesive, easy to handle and securely attaches to the wound. The adhesive layer provides gentle care for your new skin through its hypoallergenic gel.
1. Provides protection
It blocks external environment and inhibits 90% of both Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
2. Microporous Structure
It absorbs bacteria and tissue exudate from the wound, and reduces wound odor.
3. Keeps fistula clear, and increases fistula permeability
4. Blocks ultraviolet radiation
5. Shortens wound healing time, and cuts down medical costs
6. Bacteria-blocking, highly porous
7. Provide slightly moist environment ideal for wound healing

Elastic:
Based on the condition of the wound, it is advised to wash the wound with normal saline before applying the bandage.
Remove the bandage from the bag and peel off the protective layers on both sides.
Align the inner lining with the wound, and attach both sides of the bandage to the skin.
When changing the bandage, please use normal saline to moisturize the adhesion (if any) between the wound and the bandage.
If black powders are found in the package or near the wound when changing the dressing (the black powders can be cleaned with normal saline), please do not worry as this is normal for activated carbon fiber.
It is normal to feel tingling when using the dressing.
It is advised to change the dressing based on the condition of the exudation. To avoid risk of infection, do not re-use the product.
This product is for external use only.
If redness, swelling, pain, or burning sensation occurs near the wound after use, please stop using the product and consult medical professionals.
If PE membrane detaches from the dressing when changing the dressing, the dressing has absorbed too much exudate. It does not implicate a defect in the product. Please do not re-use the dressing.
For third-degree burns, infectious wounds, wounds with exposed bones or tendons, or other conditions beyond the scope indicated by the original product design, please consult medical professionals to assess whether the product is appropriate for use in these wounds.
After using the product in accordance with standard wound handling procedure, please consult medical professionals to re-assess the treatment plan if the wound appears abnormal.
After use, please place the used product in the bag and dispose of it in non-recycle bin. Do not dispose of it carelessly.
