TAICHUNG, TAIWAN (February 17, 2014) -- Bio-medical Carbon Technology Co., Ltd. (BCT), a leading global wound dressing developer and manufacturer, announced its KoCarbon Medical Wound Dressing has received the Class II medical device certification from China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA). The newest approved device will compliment four other medical devices, KoCarbonAg Silver Bandage, KoCarbon Hydrophilic Wound Dressing, KoCarbon Medical Bandage and KoCarbon Adhesive Bandage, already approved by the CFDA.
KoCarbon Medical Wound Dressing provides a protective physical barrier against bacteria for traumatic wounds, surgical wounds and first- and second-degree burns. Its activated carbon fabric (ACF), the core material of the device, can adsorb wound exudates and harmful bacteria, release far-infrared ray that promotes local blood circulations, and reduce healing periods.
