BCT attends 2014 Desert Foot, Phoenix, USA The Annual High Risk Diabetic Foot Conference

2014 USA High Risk Diabetic Foot Conference was held in Phoenix, Arizona. Desert Foot is on its 11th year, and is the largest and most important diabetic foot conference in North America. Over 4000 medical personnel associated with diabetic foot and wound care attended the event  Noted orthopedic surgeons Dr. Roman Sibel and Dr. M W WU introduced BCT activated carbon fiber with silver, and its effect on surgical wound and chronic wound. BCT presentation “Advances in Surgical Wound Care” was arranged on the first event, on the first day of the conference, and received praise and approval.

One case study is a 93 female with chronic DM left leg wound, the wound is 10x5 cm, and have not been healed for two years. Doctors tried antibiotic therapy, debridement, VAC therapy, collagen fiber, silver dressing, Hydrofera Blue, Medihoney, growth hormone, and wound was still not healed.  Doctors decided to change to BCT Antimicrobial Dressing, after 4 weeks, the wound improved, on the 6th week, there was noticeable improvement, as the wound got smaller, and on the 8th week, the wound fully healed.
